Built on three levels, this contemporary style four bedroomed home is accessed by an over-sized doorway that leads you up a short flight of marble steps into the villa. Villa Kula offers plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces and all buildings orientate towards the large 16m x 5 m salt water swimming pool. All rooms, including the lounge and dining area are air-conditioned, enabling you to retreat in comfort during the humid rainy season, which is typically between January & April. The only exception to this is the open poolside bar and BBQ pavilion that was designed to service the poolside.

Pool & Garden Level
The tropical garden that surrounds is home to many varieties of palms, heloconias and colourful plants like the ginger flowers, palms and jepun trees. On this level are all the main living pavilions plus the two poolside suites.

Four Bedroom Suites

Overview

Villa Kula has four well appointed air-conditioned bedrooms with built in wardrobes, desks, plus a media room that has its own en suite bathroom (with shower). If required this can be converted into an extra bedroom and is a favourite for older children. There is a sofa mattress size 2m x 1.60 m in this room and lots of storage space.

The Poolside Suites

The two poolside suites consist of spacious double beds with super comfortable Serta mattresses. The crown of the owners’ suite is a super-sized four poster bed with custom made 2.2 meter latex & memory foam mattress and oversized down pillows. The second suite has a 2 meter Serta mattress. Having experienced this firsthand you will soon discover, as I did, that you will be guaranteed an amazingly deep and restful night’s sleep during your stay. Every bedroom suite also has ceiling fans, plus Cable TV and DVD player.

Both suites have their own en suite semi open designer bathrooms, with indoor and outdoor courtyard showers, double wash basins, large vanity and large marble bathtubs, with plenty of hot water. There is also a small bale in the owners suite set amongst the garden and an ornamental fountain to add to the pleasure of bathing in this exclusive residence.

First Floor

The first floor is home to two more spacious air-conditioned bedroom suites and as with the poolside suites both have the same super comfortable Serta latex & memory foam mattresses. These are 2.2 meter and 2 meters wide respectively, the same as the poolside suites. Standard in Villa Kula are the large wardrobe space, desks, Cable TV, DVD, ceiling fan. The enclosed air-conditioned bathrooms have no bathtubs however they are very spacious and have double wash basins and good high showers.

Living Areas
Villa Kula has been built to very high international standards, with some state of the art facilities including Harmon Kardon iPod/MP3 player with built-in speakers, Cable TV. All bedrooms and living areas are connected via the PABX telephone system so it is easy to keep track of everyone.

The large indoor dining and lounge pavilion is also home to a high spec show kitchen. The kitchen island has many drawers and sliding table shelves with integrated lighting, perfect for use as a drinks bar. Next to the island is the dining table, which has seating for eight people. On the other side of the island is a door that leads to the wet kitchen where all food is prepared by the villa cook.

At the east end of this pavilion is the lounge, with has a comfortable three sided sofa wrapped around a large coffee table. The seating faces the garden and all the doors can be opened fully onto the garden. The whole pavilion can be closed and air-conditioned if required.

Behind the lounge is the media room that has its own en suite bathroom (with shower). There is cable TV with a good variety of channels in various languages. If required this room can be converted into an extra bedroom and is a favourite for older children. There is a sofa mattress size 2m x 1.60 m in this room and lots of drawer space.

The Lounge & dining pavilion has sliding doors that fold flat against the columns allowing a good flow of air through and opening the whole pavilion onto the garden, making Villa Kula ideal for both indoor and outdoor entertaining. This is complimented by poolside pavilion that is equipped with a bar and large professional drawer style fridge for cooling your drinks. The BBQ is fitted into the bar and there is a 50 inch TV, plus overhead fans and lots of comfortable seating.

Pool & Garden
Villa Kula has a reasonably sized garden, a great place for the kids to run around within sight of slumbering adults. The 16 meter free form salt water swimming pool has a 2.5 x 2m shallow area for children next to the BBQ pavilion, this steps directly into the main pool which varies in depth between 1.5m to 1.7m, so for children who cannot swim adult supervision and proper flotation devices should be used.

The pool deck runs almost the entire length of the pool and is furnished with four over-sized sun beds, two parasols with build in tables and a cosy round sofa chair. All the mattresses are quick dry foam and covered in durable sunbrella fabrics. This is an area that the whole family will enjoy and the pool is the place where most guests tend to gravitate to and spend their days relaxing either in the BBQ bale or on the pool deck.
