Sundara Oceanside Villa is uniquely situated within the Bali Nirwana Golf Course along the stunning Indian Ocean on the mystical Island of Bali.  Sundara captivates you with lush vibrant tropical gardens facing the expansive ocean view.  The Villa is located in the exclusive private community enclave of the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort in Tanah Lot.  Located on the coast of South-West Bali, Tanah Lot is well known for the Hindu pilgrimage temple of Pura Tanah Lot majestically perched on a jagged coastal rock formation.  This water temple has stood as an icon of exoticism and Balinese culture for centuries.
 
Sundara in Sanskrit, the ancient language of the archipelago region, means beautiful .  The Villa, surrounding gardens, and ocean view are deserving of such a description.  Take in all this spectacular scenery from the elevated view pavilion overlooking the infinity-edge pool, golf course green, and cresting ocean waves.  Watch nature at work painting the sky in hues of purple, violet, and fuchsia, during postcard-worthy sunsets.
 
Sundara offers the comforts and amenities of a 5-star resort but in the private setting of a spacious luxury villa.  The Villa underwent an extensive remodel in 2011 which brought a lightness and a contemporary look to the property.  Casual yet luxurious, Sundara interiors are a well appointed combination of Tropical Modern meets Contemporary Colonial.  Quality materials are evident throughout the Villa beginning with the elaborately carved teak entry doors that were commissioned by local artisans.  Refined details are exemplified in the beige Java marble floors, limestone serpentine carved panels, custom cabinetry, and contemporary furnishing created in tropical hardwoods.  A well-edited collection of Indonesian antiques and decorative objects gives the Villa a sense of place. 
 
In celebration of the consistent warm weather, the open-plan living room and dining room blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors with their courtyard garden views.  When the french doors are opened the adjacent reflecting pools and cascading water features extend the living areas outwards.  Comfortable seating arrangements in the living room encourage guests to group together in expressive conversation.  An oversized teak round table with pedestal base in the dining room is the setting for elegant meals.  And viewed just outside is a handsome ceramic urn set in the center of a transparent reflecting pool with water trickling down the glazed ribbed surface.     
 
All three bedrooms at Sundara are generous in scale and have en suite marble bathrooms.  Up to six guests can be accommodated in the Villa s three bedroom suites. The two upstairs bedrooms are light-filled and have picture window views of the ocean waves.  The master bedroom on the ground floor features a romantic oversized canopy bed and a cantilevered lounging sofa.  A perfect intimate space for relaxing and watching a favorite movie on reading an inspiring novel.  The master bathroom with double-vanities features a curvaceous floating bathtub-for-two illuminated against a translucent alabaster stone wall that becomes back-lit at night. 
 
Just steps outside the master bedroom is an infinity edge swimming pool tiled in natural slate bringing in the blue-hues of the the adjacent ocean.  At one end of the pool is a Cabana that s perfect for late morning breakfasts or early evening cocktails.  Sun worshipers can bask in the glow of the golden sun and relax on sun-lounger chairs while sipping tropical drinks.  Take a dip in the pool that generates its own warmth from the radiant sunlight.  Or take a few laps to work-off tension prior to indulging in a Balinese deep tissue body message that can be arranged in the Villa by appointment.
